WEST DES MOINES, IOWA, November 16, 2006 — GeoLearning, Inc., the leading provider of Managed Learning Services and hosted learning platforms, announced today, that Wellmark, Inc., a leading healthcare insurance provider, has selected the GeoMaestro Learning Management Suite (LMS) to deliver and manage training delivery for 2,000 employees, contractors and subsidiaries as part of a 3-year managed learning services contract.
Wellmark, headquartered in Des Moines, IA, will implement the GeoMaestro platform to address several strategic business requirements including the standardization of enterprise-wide training processes; enabling collaboration across training units, the rapid creation of accurate and timely learning content that is immediately available to the appropriate audiences; the elimination of duplicative and redundant learning experiences; as well as a simultaneous reduction in the time and cost required to deploy training.
Jo Spellman, performance learning consultant for Wellmark, says “The GeoMaestro learning management system allows us to better streamline training processes and provide consistent training resources and tools across the company. The system also features quick and easy access to high-quality training for our employees, which supports our message to them of being the “CEO” of their careers. And because of this, our customers and other key stakeholders will continue to experience our employees’ commitment to providing outstanding customer service.
“Wellmark selected GeoLearning because they wanted to focus on training and development–not the maintenance of technology,” added Frank Russell, president and CEO of GeoLearning. “With our Software as a Service delivery model, the Wellmark training staff can remain focused on its core competency of training Wellmark workforce members, external partners and stakeholders.”
GeoLearning’s award-winning Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) model means the GeoMaestro platform is delivered entirely over the Internet, eliminating all the headaches, hassles and risks associated with traditional hardware and software implementations. The Internet-hosted learning management platform enables organizations to capture, create, manage and share knowledge to improve workforce productivity, accelerate critical business processes, and drive organizational performance. The system centralizes and automates the entire learning management process, making the administration of enterprise learning and development both effective and efficient.
In addition to the GeoMaestro learning management platform, Wellmark will also deploy the following GeoLearning modules:
* Dynamic Reporting Engine to provide the ability to transform raw LMS data into actionable analysis and meaningful business measurements.
*MyPlan electronic Individual Development Tool to track and manage individual team member’s development plans.
*Web-based Class & Event Scheduler to manage traditional and Web-based instructor-led training.
*GeoLCMS to develop, manage and deliver proprietary assessments, content, and pre-and post tests.
*Talent Management Suite 360 Multi-Rater module to facilitate input on employees’ performance and skills from multiple perspectives.
GeoLearning will also provide Internet hosting, security and maintenance services, vendor management, professional services and Help Desk support for Wellmark administrators and learners as part of the 3-year managed learning services contract.
