The Associated Press reports that Sony Corp is trying to convey that its new console, the Playstation 3, isn’t just about video games. The company says that its new Playstation is as powerful as supercomputers, which could help researchers at Stanford University analyze complex protein structures and perhaps find cures for cancer, Alzheimer’s and other diseases.
