“Directory services consolidation is a growing category and we believe Centeris is poised to play a significant role by joining heterogeneous platforms to Active Directory,” said Daniel Smith, CEO of Makau Corporation.

Makau will be offering customers the Integrated Stack for SUSE Linux Enterprise (ISSLE) to help them bring the flexibility of Linux into their Windows environment-and quickly reduce costs. This solution was developed by IBM and Novell and includes proven, enterprise-quality software components, all fully integrated with a choice of enterprise-standard IBM servers and the Centeris Likewise Management Suite, which ensures seamless integration of Linux servers into a Windows environment.

Makau will also be offering customers Centeris Likewise 2.0 which seamlessly integrates Linux in their Windows network including integration with Microsoft Active Directory. By offering this solution, the Makau Learning appliance can be easily integrated into customers’ Windows environments making it a more cost-effective solution.

According to Mark Lindsay, Senior Sales Vice President for Makau Corporation, Centeris’ message resonates with the customers we work with. “As an ISV, we have found that Centeris Likewise 2.0 combined with the Makau eLearning Appliance allows organizations with Windows environments to easily take advantage of value of Open Standards based solutions.”

Centeris, as a partner gives Makau the tools and leads necessary to succeed in supplying customers with this solution. Centeris does not have an outside sales force and they count on partners, like Makau, to be their face to the customer.
