Boulder, CO–December 4, 2006–Hugh Conway, a well-respected sales executive with over 25 years experience in the educational technology publishing industry, has joined Digital Directions International, Inc. as Vice President of Sales and Channel Management. His mission will be to introduce the HELP for Math Program to the industry and head up the sales team effort. Conway has an extensive background in sales, management, planning, and marketing as well as being a proven leader and innovator. He will bring strong expertise in educational intervention products from his time at Jostens Learning and Invest Learning. While at Carnegie Learning and eChalk Inc., Conway successfully introduced new educational technology products to the K-12 market. His leadership will insure that DDI’s HELP for Math Program exceeds initial sales and renewal objectives.
“To effectively market the HELP program we needed to find a person with extensive experience in both educational intervention products and new product introduction,” said John Ramo, M.Ed., Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, DDI. “Hugh Conway fits these requirements plus more. I am very happy to be able to add Hugh to our management team.”
The HELP Program is designed to help middle and high school students learn math skills and content. It is particularly well suited for the large and growing Hispanic student population. School districts that incorporate HELP into their curriculum have seen demonstrated improvements in mathematics and have discovered that students really love learning with the program. Additionally, HELP can be accessed in the home, which allows non-English speaking parents to participate more fully in their child’s learning.
“I am excited to be helping DDI gear up sales for the HELP Program for Math,” said Hugh Conway. “This job allows me to take advantage of my 26 years of sales experience in the educational technology market. It is a real pleasure to bring such a high quality product to the market.”
