Honor Local Innovators in Education with National Cable’s Leaders in Learning Awards

Washington, DC– Nominate a teacher, school administrator, or anyone else in your community who is helping to improve and transform education for children in and out of school. The application deadline for the third annual national Cable’s Leaders in Learning Awards is December 15, 2006. Nominations and applications are accepted online at: www.leadersinlearningawards.org

Prizes to be awarded:

* Winning educators receive a $3,000 cash prize.

* All-expense-paid four-day trip to Washington, DC in June, 2007.

* While in Washington, award recipients will visit with members of Congress to talk about their winning programs and attend a gala awards ceremony with policymakers, government officials, leaders of the national education community, cable industry executives, and other VIPS.

Cable’s Leaders in Learning Awards, administered by Cable in the Classroom, recognize innovative programs that are transforming education in five categories: General Excellence, Cable Partnerships for Learning, Pushing the Envelope, Policymaker Excellence and Media Literacy Education.
