Mississauga, Ontario, CANADA–Thursday, December 21, 2006–MindShare Learning, a leading provider of strategic marketing solutions to the EdTech industry, partnered with IMSI/Design to win a bid to provide the Canadian Clipart Collection to all Ontario Public Schools.

The Canadian Clipart Collection also helps minimize the risk of students searching inappropriate web sites for images.”
Teachers and students are constantly requiring images for projects and lessons. Given the growing trend toward digital literacy and the use of computers in the classroom OSAPAC (Ontario Software Acquisition Program Advisory Committee to the Ministry of Education), identified media clips as a priority project. OSAPAC defined media clips as photos, animations and clipart for the purpose of the Request for Proposal (RFP). OSAPAC is made up of highly technical educators from across the province, who participate in the software selection process for schools.
Under the contract, OSAPAC worked with MindShare Learning and IMSI/Design to select 10,000 images that would be available to all Ontario publicly funded schools. These images were selected for their appropriateness for use and will be made available to the schools on DVDs. “Clearly OSAPAC has done their homework in offering the most cost-effective digital image solutions for Ontario schools,” says Bob Mayer, COO, IMSI/Design. “They deserve the credit for having the vision to help schools save time and money by offering the best quality images available on the market.”
Hemera Images, also a Canadian-based company and project partner, played a key role in providing OSAPAC with access to over 1,000,000 images to choose from. “We are pleased to be part of this very important initiative,” stated Alan M. The Canadian Clipart collection began shipping to Ontario school districts for back-to-school season. Any schools that have yet to receive their shipment should check with their school district.
