Techworld reports that Sprint announced on Thursday that it has certified Everyday Wireless’ network to work on its Nextel wireless network so that it can offer GPS technology that will help prevent bus accidents. Recently, a school bus went missing in Berks County, Pennsylvania, and five hours passed before parents, school officials, and law enforcement found out what happened. The bus driver had in his possession a semi-automatic weapon and eventually turned himself in. While no one was hurt, Everyday Wireless hopes to limit these types of problems with its iX-3 system.
