ATLANTA, GA (January 15, 2007) –Atlanta-based children´s network, Connect with Kids, has launched a new online community called Parents & Company, giving parents and teachers their own space to meet online, share war stories, write blogs, give and get advice, and stay on top of the latest news about kids. It´s part of the Connect with Kids website (www.connectwithkids.com) which, since 1998, has created award-winning television news and video reality programs that are used in thousands of schools and school districts, including Los Angeles Unified School District, Houston Independent School District, Dade (Miami) and Broward County, New York Public Schools, Pittsburgh Public, Charlotte-Mecklenburg, and more.

"So many teachers and principals I meet want to be able to go online and talk with other educators who have the same challenges and concerns that they do," says Stacey DeWitt, founder and CEO of Connect with Kids. "We wanted to offer an easy, meaningful site where they can use our resources, meet and learn from each other, as well as learn more about the online technology that their students are using, It´s a great way for educators to keep up with youth news and keep in touch with other teachers and parents."

Joining and accessing resources at Parents & Company is free. Like a "Facebook for educators and parents," the new site allows members to create their own personal profiles, post and view photos, create a friends list, send messages, chat in forums, and write their own blogs. Members can also perform detailed searches for other people with interests similar to their own.
