The Waco Tribune-Herald reports that administrators in Waco ISD’s technology department are investigating using electronic handheld devices such as iPods as vehicles for learning both inside, and outside the classroom. District technology director Dale Norwood says that the move is “part of a strategy to enhance how curriculum is delivered.” Using handheld devices is just one step in Waco ISD’s three-year technology plan–which represents a paradigm shift in the district’s practices.
