Indianapolis, Ind.–January 23, 2007–ANGEL Learning, recognized innovator of enterprise elearning software and services, today announced that the State University of New York (SUNY) has awarded ANGEL Learning a master agreement to deliver online, hybrid and web enhanced courses on its 64 campuses and through its award-winning, system-wide online learning program the SUNY Learning Network (SLN). The SUNY Master Agreement allows participating SUNY institutions to license both learning management, ANGEL LMS, and electronic portfolio, ANGEL ePortfolio, systems for a single price.
"Our successful relationship with the SUNY system began five years ago when a single SUNY campus licensed ANGEL LMS," said Christopher Clapp, ANGEL Learning president and CEO. "As more SUNY campuses have licensed ANGEL, we have developed a real appreciation for SUNY´s teaching and learning mission, the SUNY people, and an understanding of SUNY system needs. We welcome the opportunity to serve the entire SUNY system with the personal attention to individual customers that sets ANGEL Learning apart."
The State University of New York´s 64 geographically dispersed campuses comprise the nation´s largest comprehensive system of public higher education. The SUNY Learning Network, SUNY´s online education program, is one of the world´s leading providers of online learning. Together SUNY and SLN offer students a wide diversity of educational options, provide access to almost every field of academic or professional study and serve a total enrollment of more than 418,000, students who are pursuing traditional study in classrooms and laboratories or are working at home, at their own pace in online classes.
The ANGEL LMS balance of easy-to-use features with powerful capabilities allows instructors and students to focus on learning–not the underlying technology. ANGEL´s simple power drives adoption, eases instructors´ workloads, motivates students and, ultimately, creates exceptional educational experiences. ANGEL ePortfolio balances a strong learner-centered focus with highly flexible assessment and reporting tools that address institutional needs to provide authentic evidence of learning outcomes and student performance. ANGEL ePortfolio integrates seamlessly with ANGEL LMS enabling simple ePortfolio adoption and extending campus resources.
