Arkansas News Bureau reports that the Arkansas House has passed legislation that requires school districts to discourage cyber-bullying. House Bill 1072 was introduced by Rep. Shirley Walters and would expand state law requiring districts to have policies in place to prevent bullying of students, including online bullying. Walters said she filed the bill in response to an incident in the Greenwood School District where two students were suspended for maintaining a web site that school officials argue contained threatening material.
