The Verizon Foundation announced its sponsorship of ISTE’s first Digital Equity Summit: Critical Dimensions and Solutions. The summit, held during NECC, was designed to give local, state, national, and international leaders in educational equity and technology a deeper understanding of the effects of inequitable student access, how to apply scalable proven solutions, and teach participants how to build networks of collaboration to fulfill digital equity commitments. Verizon also promoted the MarcoPolo Program, a Verizon Foundation flagship program that helps teachers prepare students for success in the 21st century.
