(Lakewood, NJ–January 13, 2006)–Century Consultants Star Portal helps close the gap for teachers, parents, and students regarding interaction with the school district.
Star Portal provides the link for teachers to perform tasks remotely that they would ordinarily have done tethered to a computer station on the school districts internal network. The Portal is the key to the teacher having access to their grade book, attendance, discipline records, homework assignments and more, anywhere they have a computer connection if they choose.
This portability adds flexibility teachers have long requested, to allow more time for teaching during their daily schedule.
Parents and students also can have access via Star Portal. Parents can view their child’s assignments, grades, discipline records and attendance on a daily basis. They can also see real-time progress or lack of it and can take action to determine what decisions they must make to help their child succeed. Students and parents alike can access homework assignments in the case of illness.
Students can be served by selecting classes for the upcoming school year. They can view which courses they have taken and what is still required for graduation on the Portal.
Star Portal offers a wide variety of possibilities for everyone and can be customized to suit the needs of the school district and the community.
