Tech4Learning Inc. has announced a new vector drawing tool, called Twist, that removes the hurdles other vector drawing tools place in front of creativity, the company says.
Twist provides a straightforward set of tools that minimizes the learning curve, allowing students to spend their time creating art, not learning the tool. The simple interface features one tool that allows users to change curves, resize shapes, and adjust gradients. Users can fill editable text with solid colors, pictures, gradients, or a combination of all three. Even with fancy fills, the text remains editable, so users can make changes and fix spelling errors, the company says. Twist also lets users independently adjust the opacity of fills, strokes, and gradient colors to achieve great visual effects by fine-tuning the opacity of every color in a shape. The software also helps users get started quickly with a library of pre-made shapes.
Twist is available for $44.95 for a single-user license; a lab pack of five licenses costs $179.95, and a site license for 35 installations is available for $749.95. Additional licenses cost $18 each and must be ordered in minimum quantities of five.
