The New York Times reports that Apple and Cisco Systems have settled their dispute over the iPhone trademark. In a lawsuit, Cisco had claimed that it has owned the trademark since 2000, and was using it for a line of web-enabled phones. Wednesday night, the two companies announced that they would dismiss legal action against each other, and that Apple could use the name for its device.
