AOL @ School and the NEA Foundation recently awarded Jan-Petrina McCarty-Puhl with the 2007 Technology Leadership Award. McCarty-Puhl, a teacher from Robert McQueen High School in Reno, Nev., won based on her abilities to incorporate electronic media into her everyday lessons in order to motivate her students. As part of the award, McCarty-Puhl will receive a cash prize of $3,500 and a complete new computer system, projector, digital camera, and support software to assist her with her classroom programs. The AOL @ School/NEA Foundation Technology Leadership Award is presented each year to a key educator who has demonstrated a unique and original approach to the implementation and use of instructional technology.
