Blackwell Book Services announced today that Ms. Patricia
Adams has been promoted to the newly created position of Sales Director
effective immediately.

"Pat is an invaluable member of our team," said Susan Peterson, CEO of Blackwell Book Services. "With her knowledge, experience, and leadership we are confident that Blackwell will continue to provide our customers with the highest levels of service."

Ms. Adams has been with Blackwell for 10 years, most recently as the Eastern District Sales Manager. Prior to joining Blackwell as a Regional Sales Manager, she held the position of Acquisitions and Serials Librarian at Union College in Schenectady, New York. Ms. Adams received her MLS from the University at Albany´s School of Information Science and Policy.

"I am looking forward to the opportunity to lead the Blackwell sales team. It is great to work with such a dedicated group of people. I am excited about the challenge of maintaining and improving upon a 127 year tradition of first-rate service to academic libraries," said Ms. Adams.

Blackwell also announced that Matt Barnes, Vice President of Sales and Marketing has left Blackwell to join R2 Consulting. In his new role Matt will continue working in the academic library market as a consultant. Blackwell wishes him the best in his new endeavor.
