Las Vegas, NV (March 28, 2007)–American Fibertek, Inc. (AFI) has been accepted to the Axis Communications´ Application Development Partner program which is designed to help partners fully integrate Axis network cameras and video products in end user solutions by providing technical information, development support and application components.

The announcement was made by Jack Fernandes, President and CEO of AFI and according to Mr. Fernandes, the relationship is expected to generate value for both parties.

"If you visit the Axis website, you will see a banner on the company´s partner page that says, ?Leading the network video market. Together.´, and we think this says it all," said Mr. Fernandes. "We are extremely impressed with Axis´ business strategy and capabilities and believe that our network transmission system will provide an added synergy to the goals of both companies."

V´nes (Video Network Enterprise Solution) from AFI is the first and only integrated and standardized network transmission system designed specifically for the security marketplace. V´nes delivers extensive networking features and functionality with an open path allowing integration of IP products from other manufacturers´ products (cameras, servers, video devices, access control, software, etc.) with any combination of V´nes components and software.

"This partnership marks the first time that Axis network cameras will be integrated with video management, network management and environmental sensors on a single platform," said Fredrik Nilsson, general manager of Axis Communications. "AFI´s V´nes software and hardware devices are innovative solutions, and we are pleased to welcome the company to our partner program."

Since its launch in September of 2006, V´nes has generated unprecedented interest throughout the security and surveillance industry by providing a compelling offering to enterprise level customers. The system´s capabilities embody the definition of "convergence" by encompassing all the functionality and convenience of IP systems technologies into a comprehensive networking solution.

AFI´s strength in core fiber technologies, which now also include IP video solutions, allows them to continue to satisfy the most demanding security transmission applications given the intrinsic nature of fiber systems in both analog and IP environments.
