Nominations are now being accepted for the David T. Kearns School CIO of the Year Award. The winner will be announced at the 2007 EduStat Summit sponsored by SchoolNet in New York City. The prestigious annual awards program recognizes top public school chief information officers who are making significant contributions to improve academic achievement and administrative processes.

The Award program is open to CIOs and senior technology officers from public school districts with 20,000 or more students. Applicants are judged by a panel headed by CoSN and will be evaluated based on how the nominee has systematically used IT to accomplish the core mission(s)of the school district; had a positive impact on students, teachers, administrators, parents and the community; and has shown leadership. Don´t delay, deadline is Friday, April 13, 2007.
