The former technology director at Atlanta Public Schools pleaded guilty yesterday to bribery and fraud for taking $323,000 from vendors seeking preferential treatment, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports. Arthur Scott, 47, accepted payments from vendors who wanted business from the district's e-rate program, which brought high-speed internet service to students in low-income schools, according to a plea agreement released in federal court.
