TAMPA, Fla. (June 11, 2007)—In an effort to leave no child behind, students at the Atlantic Technical Center in Broward County are experiencing the benefits from the classrooms of tomorrow, today. Audio Visual Innovations (AVI), the industry leader in providing state-of-the-art audiovisual presentation, communication and collaborative solutions, upgraded 93 classrooms within the post-secondary and technical magnet high school with the industries next generation in learning technology.
Imagine students in a classroom with the ability to work from their desks and present the results of their work to the entire class without every leaving their stationary places. The technologies in ATC´s intelligent classrooms are providing students with a new set of learning tools and opportunities.
The classroom´s old audiovisual equipment has been replaced with ceiling-mounted projectors and screens; wireless microphones and surround sound speakers ensure students in the back of the class are no longer at a disadvantage as they complete their work on real-time wireless tablets.
"We are thrilled to be offering our teachers and students technology tools to enhance their teaching and learning experience," said Cathy Bente, Technology Coordinator for Atlantic Technical Center. "The new technology allows us to accommodate different learning styles in the classroom."
