Silver Spring, Md. (June 25, 2007)–Discovery Education, the leader in digital video and multimedia learning, today announced that its unitedstreaming Plus and Science Connection services will feature content from Discovery Channel´s epic series Planet Earth.

Providing the ultimate portrayal of our planet, Planet Earth premiered March 25, 2007. A co-production of Discovery Channel and BBC, the critically-acclaimed, 11-part high-definition series was filmed in over 200 countries and took over five years to produce. Recently, Discovery Education signed an agreement with the School District of Clay County, Fla., to distribute its newly launched unitedstreaming Plus, Science Connection, Health Connection, and ThinkLink Assessment services to all 38 K-12 schools in the district. Educators there are looking forward to utilizing the Planet Earth content to improve student achievement that is measured by the Science Florida Comprehensive Achievement Test (FCAT). Currently, there are 36,000 students in the School District of Clay County.
