June 28, 2007 — Markham, Ontario — The Ontario Ministry of Education on behalf of the Ontario Software Acquisition Program Advisory Committee (OSAPAC) renewed a maintenance contract for NetSupport Canada to provide province-wide NetSupport School computer lab instructional software for educational collaboration, presentation and supervision. Included in the Ontario Ministry of Education contract are publicly funded elementary and secondary schools, as well as faculties of education and First Nations schools.

NetSupport School is a software tool to allow instructors to broadcast one student´s or teacher´s computer screen to a whole class, freeze screens while instruction is taking place, allow more than one student machine to collaborate with other machines, and allow the teacher to view students´ machines while they are working. Features of NetSupport School include:

-Screen monitoring
-Screen sharing/broadcast/rebroadcast
-Remote "lock out?
-Remote PC control
-Instructional tools (e.g. chat, quizzes, file handout/collection)
-Batch processes (e.g. shut down/restart machines)

Under the terms, NetSupport Canada provides a year of technical support and maintenance.
