Columbia, Md. — July 16, 2007 — Interwrite Learning, announces today that Lisa O´Masta has joined the company as vice president of marketing. O´Masta will have responsibility for all marketing functions on a global scale including branding, public relations, research, and overall marketing strategy.
O´Masta brings to Interwrite Learning extensive experience in kindergarten through 12th grade and higher education marketing. Before joining Interwrite Learning, she formerly served as executive director of marketing and product management for Laureate Education, Inc. (formerly Sylvan Learning Systems). O´Masta served as a change agent, setting the framework for a multi-disciplinary marketing and product management department to help position Laureate for extensive growth and scale. Laureate Education operates campus-based and online universities in over 15 countries for full-time and working adult students worldwide.

O´Masta brings over 13 years of marketing leadership to the new role and has lead significant marketing efforts for General Electric and Thomson Financial. O´Masta has a B.S. in marketing from Towson University and an MBA in marketing from Johns Hopkins University.
