On August 13, 2007, School Web Lockers, a San Diego based company, launched their first school in Kuwait. Cambridge English School was looking for a hassle-free administration system that would allow students and teachers to store files on the web that could later be accessed outside of school.

Dr. Yasser Aly, IT Director, plans to see how well the users adapt to the product and later include the whole district, which seems to be the trend with this product. In fact, multiple schools this year have already increased their number of users. Among them are Santee School District in San Diego, CA and Twin Parks School in Bronx, NY.

When asked how School Web Lockers has helped the district, Ernie Nevares of Santee School District responded, "Using Web Lockers in our district´s Thin-Client environment has made it possible for our students to work with ongoing projects that before were simply not possible. It is an important complement to Santee´s "Classrooms of the Future" upgrades." The integration of School Web Lockers with other applications has been very successful for many schools.

Dr. Aly expects the integration process to go smoothly and hopes to continue rolling out School Web Lockers to other schools in both Kuwait and Egypt.
