Public school web site is a bridge to private aid

It’s like "Craigslist," except the goal is to bring people together to support public schools in Hawaii, reports the Honolulu Star-Bulletin: School stakeholders can click on the new web site helphawaiischools.com to find out how to help. The site is a two-way street, linking would-be donors and volunteers with specific campuses and their needs. Schools are using it to reach beyond their own parents to the community at large, in keeping with a national trend.
