PublicSchoolWORKS Expands Student Health Safety Training Courses in ‘EmployeeSafeSM Suite’

Washington, DCJune 28, 2009 – As part of its ongoing effort to help school districts stay ahead of growing safety trends, PublicSchoolWORKS has created fourteen new online training courses for its Staff Training Management System within theEmployeeSafe Suite, the company’s online suite of automated safety modules for school and district staff. The new programs are featured in the Student Health Safety & Behavior online course section. In all, PublicSchoolWORKS offers more than 150 online safety and worker development courses.

“School safety issues continue to become more complex as children are exposed to more and more violence and mature situations in our wired, global world. Educators need to be prepared to deal with the issues of safety and to spot signs of problems prior to them escalating,” said Tom Strasburger, Vice President of PublicSchoolWORKS. “Online courses allow staff to stay abreast of the latest developments in safety without using PD time or paying for trainers.”

The fourteen new courses include:

Bullying
Prevention
Cyber Safety for Students

Child Abuse Prevention

The system takes over from there by auto-sending training notifications and reminders to staff and  documenting individual training results, .For those staff who fail to fulfill their training requirements within the required training period, the system automatically sends reports to their key administrators and supervisors. System users also receive 24/7 telephone support   on technical issues or provide answers to specific training questions.
