MALVERN, Pa. – July 27, 2009 –Richmond, the American International University in London, is collaborating with SunGard Higher Education in an initiative to help streamline administrative processes, improve communication and collaboration, and manage institutional priorities. Richmond AIUL will use the PowerCAMPUS Unified Digital Campus (UDC) to improve the education experience by providing single sign-on, secure and real-time Internet access to information for students, faculty and administrators.

Dr. Ian Newbould, president at Richmond AIUL, commented, The University’s most compelling characteristic is its long standing emphasis on globalization, international relations, world awareness and cultural diversity. Our student population enables a rich interchange both within and beyond the classroom, andthe PowerCAMPUS UDC will help Richmond facilitate an improved communications strategy for the entire community. We intend for this to lead to an enhanced service for students including greater efficiency and access across the whole of the institution.”
Customers in 12 countries around the world have selected the PowerCAMPUS UDC to support their institutional needs. Richmond AIUL is the second American College Overseas (ACO) to select SunGard Higher Education’s PowerCAMPUS solution. Franklin College Switzerland was the first.
Built on Microsoft technologies and integrated with Microsoft Dynamics GP, the PowerCAMPUS UDC solution helps institutions respond to new demands for improved accountability, performance and productivity.  By automating core processes such as admissions, academic records, advancement, billing and cash receipts, financial aid, finance and human resources, as well as improving interactions with portal and self-service tools for everyone across the campus, the PowerCAMPUS UDC helps institutions deliver the kind of learning experience that can transform lives.
Some of the new online services Richmond plans to provide through the PowerCAMPUS UDC include enrollment management, online registration, automated scheduling, online degree audits, and integration with learning management, document management and other campus systems.
”We are pleased to see Richmond AIUL join the growing global PowerCAMPUS community,” said Renee Pacini, vice president of PowerCAMPUS, SunGard Higher Education.  “Working together, we will help Richmond realize its strategic goals of information delivery, improved service and a collaborative community to support the endeavors and success of its constituents.”
