Anoto Announces Distribution Agreement with The Douglas Stewart Company

WESTBOROUGH, Mass.—August 5, 2009—Anoto Group, the inventor of digital pen and paper, today announced a distribution agreement with The Douglas Stewart Company, the largest distributor and marketer of computer products, consumer electronics and school supplies exclusively serving the education market.  Effective immediately, The Douglas Stewart Company will distribute and market the Anoto penPresenter through its resale channel of over 2,500 academic resellers in the U.S. and Canada.

Anoto penPresenter is a unique PowerPoint add-in which brings the mobile, real time capabilities of digital pen technology to slide show presentations through Bluetooth technology.  Anoto penPresenter enhances presentations by allowing educators to make notes, highlights and sketches on their slides that are viewed in real time as they present.  All notes written on PowerPoint slides can then be saved digitally and distributed after lectures, classes or meetings, something not possible with ordinary whiteboard notes.

“We are very pleased to provide our resellers with another innovative solution through the Anoto penPresenter, as it provides educators with a mobile and cost-effective way to display, highlight, capture and share lecture content, benefiting teacher and student alike,” said Jack Bahlman, vice president of sales and marketing, The Douglas Stewart Company.  “Anoto’s digital pen and paper technology is world-renowned, and we look forward to cultivating this new relationship as the company continues to develop new products for the education market.”

“The Douglas Stewart Company’s impressive reseller network and unmatched industry experience provides Anoto with a great opportunity to get Anoto penPresenter in the hands of more teachers and students across North America, creating a more engaging and flexible classroom experience.” said Pietro Parravicini, president and CEO of Anoto, Inc. “We are proud to team with a greatly respected and established distributor of quality products for the education market, and we expect a successful long term relationship as both companies help expand the breath of solutions available to make the classroom as effective and efficient as possible.”
