CDI and Nebraska Council of School Administrators Partnership Provides Technology Solution to Save Money

Chicago, IL, Sept. 2, 2009 – – CDI, North America’s largest supplier of recertified, brand name computers to the educational market, and the Nebraska Council of School Administrator (NCSA) have joined forces to improve statewide computer-to-student ratio through cost-effective technology solutions.

CDI will work with NCSA to analyze members’ current needs and recommend resources for alternative technology sourcing to dramatically reduce spending. In addition, CDI will work with stakeholders to explore one-to-one initiatives across the state with the goal of providing 24×7 computer access to every student.

“Through initial discussions with CDI, we quickly realized the tremendous value of such a partnership and the immediate impact for our members. CDI offers a quality product for an exceptional price and we are thrilled that we can pass the savings on to our taxpayers. Partnering with CDI is a win/win situation for everyone,” stated Michael Dulaney, NCSA’s Executive Director. “We continuously strive to identify high-quality resources and solutions for the NCSA community – CDI is a natural fit.”

“CDI will allow our members to have greater access to affordable and reputable technology resources with the added benefit of superior customer service,” stated John Osgood, NCSA’s Chairman. “We were very impressed by the breadth of knowledge the executive team demonstrated about the needs of educators today and the importance of technology in the classroom.”

“We are excited to work with the extremely dedicated team of professionals at NCSA,” stated Saar Pikar, General Manager, CDI. “Their commitment to providing members with the technology tools needed to succeed and excel was evident during their visits to our facility and at their offices in Lincoln – go Huskers!”

NCSA will begin offering members access to CDI’s product catalog in August – just in time for the start of the school year.

About NCSA

The Nebraska Council of School Administrators is an organization of more than 1,900 school administrators who serve in Nebraska schools.  We consider ourselves a partner in developing excellence in educational leadership, providing the "tools" necessary for administrators to be successful.  Although school administrators are more aware of problem areas in schools than anyone else, their voices can be drowned out by special interests in politics.  NCSA provides strength in numbers to make our voices heard in educational matters in Nebraska.
