Technology issues prevent students from watching Obama’s speech

In a scene that no doubt played out in many schools across the country, technological glitches prevented students and teachers at Baldwin Park High School east of Los Angeles from watching a much-talked about speech by President Barack Obama, reports the San Gabriel Valley Tribune. Excitement from students gathering in classrooms to hear Obama’s speech fizzled after a live web feed froze. "I really wanted to watch it," student Christian Salazar said outside of school. "I am interested it what he had to say." Principal Luis Cruz nonetheless encouraged teachers to show their students a video of the speech during the week. "I think it is extremely important for students to watch," Cruz said. "Not all of our students have access to cable or shows that will repeat the message. We will make sure we do that."
