ARLINGTON, Va. – The American Association of School Administrators, the professional organization for school superintendents and other school system leaders, today issued the following statement on the EDUCATE Act and the IDEA Full Funding Act:


"AASA applauds Reps. Chris Van Hollen (D-Md.), Todd Platts (R-Pa.) and Tim Walz (D-Minn.) for introducing the bipartisan Everyone Deserves UnConditional Access to Education (EDUCATE) Act. This essential legislation would at long last fully fund the federal commitment to the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act, which ensures students with disabilities access to a free and appropriate public education.
