Crestron Dealers Dominate Prestigious Electronic Lifestyles Awards at CEDIA Expo

ROCKLEIGH, NJ, September 18, 2009 – The annual Custom Electronic Design & Installation Association (CEDIA) Electronic Lifestyles® Awards has become the industry standard for excellence in the art and science of home technology design and integration. When the judges announced the winners in more than 30 categories at CEDIA EXPO 2009 in Atlanta, GA., 75% of the winning projects featured Crestron home technology solutions. Entries were evaluated by two panels consisting of members from the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID), American Institute of Architects (AIA), and CEDIA and scored on technical merit and design/aesthetics, ensuring the very best projects were recognized.

The Designer Awards competition, which recognizes integrators in high profile categories including Best Large Home Theater, Best Media Room, Integrated Home and Technical Design, produced 58 total medal winners. Seventy-five percent of those winners are Crestron dealers. Even more notable, seven out of eight, or nearly 90% of the 25 first place winners were Crestron integrators. In the Industry Awards competition, the Electronic Systems Contractor of the Year, Electronic Systems Technician of the Year and Residential Electronic Systems Contractor Volunteer of the Year awards were also taken home by Crestron dealers.

“Crestron congratulates each one of the winners in all of the categories, and we applaud their hard work, dedication and innovation in driving our industry forward,” said Crestron Executive Vice President, Randy Klein. “We are especially proud to have contributed once again to the success of so many of the dealers who were honored this year.”
