During this time of the year most dance schools and studios are closed for the holidays taking a much deserved break from their busy dance schedules.
The team at Dance Direct have been working hard to set up our Discount Teachers Programme which we have put in place to reward wholesale customers, teachers and schools, with discounts up to 10%.
It has been a complicated process to integrate our website with our back office solution and before putting this live we ran numerous tests to ensure it was running smoothly and as we had initially planned. All tests were completed by the end of July 2009 and the scheme is now live as we speak.
We have had a tremendous response already and are registering new dance teachers and dance schools on a daily basis. There seems to be a strong interest in particular with dance teachers looking to replenish their dancewear stock of cheap ballet shoes, ballet tights and tap shoes all ready for the back to school in September. Our aim is to make this busy time of the schools year as seamless and hassle free as possible, making buying dance goods an enjoyable experience.
Business here is still busy and we are starting to build up for the back to school, from the August bank holiday we will have our busiest 8 weeks of the year, so it will be all hands on deck in the office and the warehouse to get these important orders out to our customers in good time.
We have received big deliveries of our ballet shoes, dance leotards and tights to ensure we are carrying high stock levels at all times ready for the back to school orders.
Changing the subject slightly, we have just taken delivery of our new Nike lightweight dance sneaker range in 3 new colour combinations including, purple and black with a galaxy design down the sides, white and blue with Nike graphics and finally a stylish charcoal and maroon.
These are perfect for hip hop, street dance and freestyle, and of course for strutting your stuff and making a statement within the dance community.
