Meetings of Louisiana’s top school board would have to be carried over the internet under a bill approved by a state Senate committee on April 8, reports the Advocate. The measure applies to the state Board of Elementary and Secondary Education. The 11-member panel sets policies for an estimated 657,000 public school students statewide. State Sen. Jack L. Donahue, R-Mandeville, is sponsor of the proposal, which is Senate Bill 298.
