Delaware Assembly OKs wireless internet for libraries

Public libraries in Delaware will be able to offer wireless internet service and also let parents determine their child’s internet access under a measure approved by the state Senate on June 2, DelawareOnline reports. House Bill 340 changes limitations placed on public libraries that require safeguards on internet access to ensure children don’t see inappropriate material, and libraries would be able to post notices advising patrons about safe online practices when using wireless internet. The bill now heads to Gov. Jack Markell for his signature; it passed the Senate unanimously. Sen.
