Find everything you need to know about starting a small business at Business.gov

SiteofWeek072110Business.gov, the U.S. government’s online portal for small businesses, recently was added to FREE (Federal Resources for Education Excellence), the Education Department’s collection of federal web sites that are relevant to education—and with good reason, as it contains a wealth of information that could be useful to teachers and students. As the official business link to the U.S. government, Business.gov focuses on everything you need to know to start or expand a business. Visitors to the site can learn about writing a business plan, business zoning, online businesses, home businesses, self employment, starting a nonprofit, licenses and permits, incorporating a business, loans and grants, insurance, managing finances, taxes, marketing and advertisement, data and statistics, “green” business practices, complying with laws, and more. http://Business.gov
