School chiefs form education-reform group


Sacramento City Unified Superintendent Jonathan Raymond has teamed up with six other school district superintendents to form a nonprofit that will push education reform, it was announced Monday, reports the Modesto Bee. The nonprofit California Office of Education Reform, or CORE, will pursue accountability and review procedures for teachers and implement the common core standards in English and math.
