CORE K12 Education Appoints New Head of Sales.

Jersey City, N.J. (December 15, 2010) – CORE K12 Education is pleased to announce that James (Jim) Luthi is joining its executive management team as Vice President of Sales effective January 1, 2011.

From a field of highly qualified candidates, Mr. Luthi achieved the appointment based on his energetic approach to sales and leadership, as well as his knowledge of formative assessment.

Mr. Luthi has built his sales career around working with technology and education organizations in the Pacific Northwest. Most recently, he was the Director of Major Accounts for the Northwest Evaluation Association (“NWEA”) headquartered in Portland Oregon. During his tenure with NWEA, Jim Luthi built the most profitable sales team experienced by NWEA. He accomplished this goal by creating a major accounts team targeting the 200 largest school districts across the U.S. and streamlined NWEA internal processes to support the needs of these large districts.

Prior to his position with NWEA, Mr. Luthi founded and directed a custom consulting business designed to help high tech sales forces build targeted value propositions for meetings with executives of billion+ dollar corporations. The programs and reports developed as part of the consulting business helped link business initiatives directly with the vendor’s products/services resulting in increased sales.

Mr. Luthi earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from the University of Oregon in 1991.
