Illinois Selects Evans Newton Incorporated (ENI) as a Comprehensive School Improvement Grant (SIG) Educational Service Provider
ENI Approved as a SIG Lead Partner in Illinois
Phoenix, AZ (April 29, 2011) – Evans Newton Incorporated has been selected as an authorized educational service provider by the Illinois State Board of Education under the School Improvement Grant program. ENI is now able to serve eligible designated turnaround schools under the respective state SIG for the 2011-2012 school year.
Todd Flaherty Ed.D, of TDF Consulting, former Deputy in Residence for the Council of Chief State School Officers (CCSSO), and Senior Policy Consultant for the National High School Center stated, “ENI’s Blueprint for high schools addresses the complexities and critical challenges of comprehensive school improvement at the secondary school level, based on a whole school transformation model. The theory of action being advanced by ENI in the case of high schools is that sustainable school improvement can occur only when well planned actions, grounded in research and promising practices, are implemented with fidelity in a whole school change model.”
ENI offers districts a proven, comprehensive approach to standards-based curriculum reform and improvement. Our integrated methods of working with school and district teams incorporate in-depth alignment services, custom curriculum development, incremental assessments, supporting software tools, implementation strategies and support, professional development with coaching, and end-to-end integration support. The precise components of each project are adapted to your specific needs, so you can efficiently initiate, manage and monitor progress toward your school improvement objectives.
Upon receiving notice of the firm’s selection, ENI President, Tami Zale commented, “ENI is pleased to be selected by the Illinois State Board of Education to assist the state’s low-performing schools. We have seen tremendous results from our TargetTeach® process in Illinois and are confident with proper implementation and a firm commitment from district leadership that we can extend those services across the state.”
ENI is also an authorized educational service provider in Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Ohio, and Washington under the SIG program and an approved Race to the Top vendor in Tennessee.
