Show Quote:
“Last year, visitors to our InfoComm booth were introduced to our BlueBOLT(R) power and energy management platform, and this year we are set to debut another groundbreaking technology at the show: SmartSequencing(TM). InfoComm 2011 will mark the debut of this innovation with our new CN-1800S and CN-2400S programmable SmartSequencers, the first products in our new Contractor Series designed specifically for commercial A/V installers. In addition, we will be providing demonstrations of our BlueBOLT platform and full line of pro A/V power management products. As usual, InfoComm is shaping up to be a memorable show for us, and we look forward to seeing you there.”

New Products and Technologies on Display at InfoComm 2011:

At InfoComm 2011, Furman is excited to unveil the first two products in its new Contractor Series: the CN-1800S and CN-2400S programmable SmartSequencers. Marking the debut of Furman’s SmartSequencing(TM) technology, the CN-1800S and CN-2400S allow even the largest and most complex A/V systems in commercial installations to be powered on and off safely with a single press of a button or turn of a key. Demonstrations of both products will be available in booth 1325, in addition to hands-on demonstrations of the company’s BlueBOLT(R) platform and its entire pro line of power management solutions.

At InfoComm 2011, Furman will demonstrate the CN-1800S (15A capacity) and CN-2400S (20A capacity) SmartSequencers from its Contractor Series. The ultimate power solutions for commercial A/V installations of any size, from houses of worship to stadiums, the new CN-1800S and CN-2400S combine AC power distribution, protection, filtration, and sequential system power on/off in 1-RU, 120VAC units.

The new Contractor Series products are the first to feature Furman’s SmartSequencing(TM) technology, which allows large and complex A/V systems to be safely powered on and off with a simple press of a button or turn of a key, even by non-technical personnel. SmartSequencing’s bidirectional communications between installed units enables a primary unit to control and sequence multiple secondary units, ensuring multizone electronic systems are powered on and off safely and dependably from a single control point across an entire installation. Units can be connected via current loop at runs of more than 1,000 feet with full backwards compatibility with Furman’s legacy sequencers.

Providing robust control options, the CN-1800S and CN-2400S support RS-232 communication with command sets for integration with control systems. An optional RS-232-to-Ethernet adaptor (sold separately) adds full IP-addressability to the units, allowing them to be controlled, programmed, and monitored from a smartphone, tablet, PC, or any Web-enabled device via Telnet, direct HTTP connection, or Panamax/Furman’s BlueBOLT(R)-hosted remote power and energy management platform.

Both devices feature eight rear-panel outlets — in addition to one front-panel convenience outlet — in four duplex outlet banks, with three of the banks capable of being sequenced on and off with an adjustable delay. All outlets provide clean, safe power with Furman’s SMP, EVS, and LiFT protection and filtration technologies.

The CN-1800S and CN-2400S will be available in Q4 2011, while the RS-232-to-Ethernet adaptor (model # BB-RS232) will be available in Q1 2012. Additional Contractor Series products will be released throughout the year for even more installation flexibility with the SmartSequencing platform.
