Edmond, Okla. (June 21, 2011) –
Funds For Learning, the nation’s leading E-rate compliance services firm, is pleased to announce that John Harrington, CEO, will be presenting at the 2011 International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) Conference on Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia. The presentation, Historical Day for E-rate: The National Broadband Plan, will include best practices for E-rate stakeholders as they work with the E-rate program administrator during the time of regulatory change.
ISTE 2011, “Unlocking Potential,” will be held June 26-29, 2011. The three-day event is one of the world’s premiere technology events, offering over 700 sessions for conference participants.
In his presentation, Harrington will step participants through the numerous changes implemented through the Federal Communications Commission’s Sixth Report and Order, highlighting its implications for the E-rate program.
Honored by the opportunity to address the ISTE delegation, Harrington emphasized the benefit of E-rate for schools and libraries. “Given the current economic climate, schools and libraries are in desperate need of the funds available through E-rate,” said Harrington. “Our goal is to present the audience with the tools and best-practices that can increase their likelihood of securing the much-needed E-rate funding. We are dedicated to the success of the E-rate program and the success of its stakeholders.”
The presentation is open to all ISTE participants and appropriate for E-rate stakeholders of all skill and knowledge levels.
Harrington is recognized by many as the first full-time E-rate consultant in the country. He is Funds For Learning’s principle E-rate consultant and has been personally involved in the submission of nearly $1 billion in E-rate funding requests. Harrington also serves as the president of the E-rate Management Professionals Association (E-mpa).
