June 26, 2011, Philadelphia, PA—LanSchool Technologies, the leading provider of cross-platform classroom management software, today announced at ISTE 2011 that it has integrated its industry leading LanSchool v7.6 Software with Microsoft’s new Windows Multipoint Server (WMS) Console. By joining forces on development, LanSchool and Microsoft are delivering greater computing power along with powerful teaching solutions in the classroom, all at a significantly lower Total Cost of Acquisition and Ownership.

“We consider LanSchool to have broad expertise in the area of classroom management,” said Chris Phillips, General Manager, Windows Server Solutions Group. ”They are a strong partner, and contributed core technologies to the release of Windows MultiPoint Server 2011.”

LanSchool has delivered leading classroom management capability, for the most part one computer at a time. Now with WMS, multiple students can share the power of one computer at the same time. LanSchool manages this new environment with the same adeptness and ability as it does when each student has his or her own dedicated computer to work on.

“LanSchool is committed to making learning a more personal and impactful experience,” said Dana Doggett, President and Founder of LanSchool. “By working with Microsoft, we are helping to empower teachers to better enhance their teaching ability and engage their students in the classroom.”

With Windows Multipoint Server 2011, one host computer can be shared by multiple students at the same time, enabling schools to save 66% by lowering costs of hardware, energy and maintenance. With fewer physical computers to manage, the classroom becomes easier to manage and support by the tech coordinators from a single location.
