The Commission accredits organizations that can provide evidence they “equal or exceed” existing commission expectations covering eight standards serving as benchmarks for accreditation through an intensive evaluation cycle. NWAC’s evaluation criteria includes standards for curriculum, assessment, leadership, and a commitment to continual improvement, as well as standards in other areas, all with a focus on higher student achievement.
