State College, Pennsylvania, July 11, 2011 – Doug Eicher, a respected leader in the K-12 market with a solid track record of education technology sales results at the local and state levels, has joined Schoolwires as Vice President of Sales. Mr. Eicher is responsible for developing and managing the Company’s sales strategies and execution plans to help achieve sales, revenue, profitability and market share goals.

Mr. Eicher’s background includes leading SchoolNet’s national sales and marketing teams to expand their client base. He also served as Apple’s Northeast Area Director where he led the transformation of the education sales, services, and marketing organizations; and the team deployed 38,000 laptops to in 245 Maine public schools statewide. Prior to joining Apple Computer, Mr. Eicher was with Microsoft for 10 years building commercial, public sector, and education enterprise sales organizations around the country, and working with key strategic commercial and education.

Mr. Eicher co-chairs the Board of Directors for the Ballet Theatre Company, and is a member of Interlochen Center for the Arts (Michigan) Board of Trustees. He is also an avid runner, completing a marathon and a half marathon along with other races this past year.
