Greenville, SC – July 12, 2011 ¬– Party Pups™ is an exciting new game from Super Duper® Publications designed to help children ages four and older learn to identify 24 different prepositions and use them properly in sentences. In the game, players practice creating phrases and sentences with the help of man’s best friends — Fido, Rufus, and all the other Party Pups™.
To play, students choose a game board that has their favorite type of dog on it (poodle, bulldog, corgi, etc.) The dogs are all in their party hats and ready to have a good time. Students give the dogs their own special names; then players take turns choosing preposition cards, identifying the prepositions on the cards, and using them in sentences. After each turn, players spin the electronic spinner and collect doggie treats, which they place on their game boards. The player with the most doggie treats at the end of the game wins.
“We have heard from countless customers that games such as Party Pups™ not only help children strengthen their vocabulary and grammar skills, but also help them build confidence, develop good social skills, and experience friendly competition,” states Carrie Bouygues of Super Duper®. “It is amazing how much educational games can offer children. Before they know it, the students are so immersed in having fun that they forget they are actually learning. As a result, the students ask again and again to play the game.”
Party Pups™ includes 72 color-coded cards (three sets of 24), 12 playing surfaces (six double-sided boards), 100 doggie treat tokens, an electronic spinner, and an instruction booklet with game ideas. Each of the 24 prepositions appears in three different contexts, helping children to see (through illustrated pictures) different ways to use prepositions.
