Sublime Learning™ ,the education leader in providing professional development products and services focused on effective use of technology to meet K-12 instructional goals, announces a new pilot program in the State of Virginia. Sublime Learning has been selected by Superintendent of Public Instruction, Patricia I. Wright, Virginia Department of Education, as their professional development partner to pilot just-in-time learning by fully integrating technology into instruction.

Sublime Learning’s eTeachables for Visual Learning and Interactive White Boards will offer Virginia’s ITRT support network easy to use, high quality professional development online videos that focus on software and hardware already widely available in Virginia schools.

Sublime Learning is providing a one-year subscription to each Virginia ITRT that includes:
• The eTeachables for Visual Learning library that allows Inspiration® and Kidspiration® to reach new heights as each eTeachable models the application of proven strategies for stronger teaching with technology.
• The Inquiry-Based Learning for Interactive Whiteboards (IWB) library, which supports instruction around key questions or themes to offer educators timely, problem-based K-8 teaching strategies.
General and differentiated instruction strategies are integrated in each professional development video, with easily downloadable Templates, Flipchart or Notebook files for classroom use. These tools support educators’ use of technology to incorporate existing software and IWB equipment to its fullest while also increasing teacher capacity within the classroom.

“Professional development is a critical factor in the successful integration of technology and classroom instruction,” Dr. Wright said. “VDOE’s partnership with Sublime Learning will help our instructional technology resource teachers design engaging lessons and activities with clear objectives for each student.”

“It is such an honor to work with Superintendent Wright and Virginia’s ITRT support network because we believe that through informing and empowering educators to teach effectively with technology, more students will have the opportunity to participate in personalized learning experiences”, stated Jonathan Mann, CEO, Sublime Learning. “Toward that end, we’re committed to helping the Common Wealth of Virginia get the most out of their existing technology so they can deliver transformational teaching that engages students and improves performance.”
