Silver Burdett Interactive Music Available for the iPad and Interactive Whiteboard
Los Angeles, CA and New York — October 4, 2011 – Alfred Music Publishing and the education company Pearson announced today the release of Silver Burdett® Interactive Music, the first online Pre-K–8 general music program for schools. Developed by the two publishers jointly and available in the fall of 2012, the Silver Burdett Interactive Music digital curriculum offers an affordable solution for budget-conscious schools that meets the needs of today’s students with a rich array of interactive whiteboard and iPad-ready resources.
Silver Burdett Interactive Music features new music lessons and song material delivered through Pearson’s Online Learning Exchange that provides teachers immediate access to a wide variety of media content with a single log-in. The program offers MP3 digital audio files, animations, interactive activities, and online music playback technology developed by Legato Media, a leading provider of multimedia storage and distribution, which allows teachers to modify every song’s tempo, key, and volume mix.
Silver Burdett Interactive Music builds student knowledge and skills by engaging learners in a variety of active experiences with music from diverse styles, cultures, and historical periods. The fully customizable resources are developmentally appropriate, supporting teachers in all music classrooms and learners of all levels.
Downloadable and customizable teacher resources include digital interactive sheet music, instructional and enrichment activities, and a variety of play-along tools.
