(Chicago, IL)– Uinta County School District #1 in Wyoming—with over 2,800 students—has adopted CCC! Streaming Media from New Dimension Media (NDM). This service will allow teachers to augment their classroom lessons with award-winning educational media from providers like Disney Educational Productions, National Geographic Education, BBC Motion Gallery, and others.
CCC! Streaming Media is just the latest technological acquisition for Uinta County School District #1, which has demonstrated a commitment to staying at the forefront of technology integration in Wyoming. All of the district’s classrooms are equipped with LCD projectors, and 75% have interactive whiteboards. In 2013, the district will be starting a 1-to-1 iPad integration project.
“Here at Uinta County School District #1 we are looking forward to the relevant and engaging opportunities our students and staff will have as we integrate the Core Curriculum Content into student learning,” said Jaraun Dennis, Director for Uinta County School District #1. “We are excited about the hands-on discovery our students will be able to take part in through the interactive lessons and the wide variety of primary resources offered in the multi-media content.”
“Jaraun Dennis was really pleased with the CCC! interface, saying that it has the best ‘look’ he’s seen among educational resource websites,” said Mary Isenburg, Regional Education Director for New Dimension Media. “The custom URLs were also a deal maker for us, as Uinta County teachers use Moodle to interact with students outside of the classroom. It was a pleasure working with such a technologically advanced district, and great to see that CCC! suited their unique needs.”
Uinta County School District #1 marks the latest in a series of national adoptions for NDM, including both public and parochial schools and school districts.
