Personalized Literacy Environment Hits Major Milestone 18 Months After Launch
MINNEAPOLIS (June 21, 2012) – The shift from print to digital books has been well documented, and a study recently released by the Pew Research Center reports that one of five American adults has read an e-book in the past year. Publishers such as Capstone Digital, developer of personalized learning environments for students, have been at the forefront of this shift in the education market. Due in part to exponential growth in the variety and depth of digital resources available, Capstone Digital’s myON reader has surpassed 1 million students 18 months after the literacy platform launched.

A recent example is Florida’s Hillsborough County, where eight community organizations partnered to launch a reading initiative that provides all children from birth to eighth grade with free access to myON reader.
